This website is maintained by the Luxembourg botanist Yves Krippel to provide information about ferns in Luxembourg.
pteridophytes.lu is hosted by the Luxembourgish association Société des naturalistes luxembourgeois ASBL since 2025. We are grateful to Marc Siweck and the Luxembourgish association Think ASBL (sitesitting.net), who hosted this website from 2003 until 2025.
pteridophytes.lu was established by Christian Ries in November 2016, using WordPress as the content management system. The initial version at http://mnhnl.lu/atlas/pterido/ was created by Christian Ries in 2003 using Baseportal as the data framework.
